| Q: What are acne? Which age group is affected? |
A: Acne or pimples or muhanse are caused by obstruction of the oil producing glands over face, neck, chest and back. They may present as blackheads, whiteheads, red pus filled lesions or nodules.
The majority of patients are in their teens but in few cases acne may continue or sometimes first appear in their twenties or even thirties.

- The extent of lesions and the symptoms.
